What’s Changing?

First of all, don’t worry — Angelique will still be grooming your dogs to the same amazing standard as always!


Thanks to your support, Peninsula Paws has grown into one of the most popular salons on the Peninsula. As much as Angelique loves her work, managing 60+ hours a week of grooming and running the business has become too much. 


So she has decided to pass the business side over to me, her son Ryan. I have years of experience in pet retail and grooming salon management, and I’ve been helping behind the scenes since day one. This means Angelique can focus her time and energy on what she does best — grooming.


So what does this mean for you? Two main changes: pricing and communication.


Angelique has always tried to keep her prices affordable, but they’ve fallen behind the standard rates in the area. From 2026, prices will be adjusted to better match local grooming costs. She’s one of the hardest workers I know, and I’d love to see all of her hard work pay off one day, like buying a home or finally taking a proper holiday (she hasn’t taken more than a week off since opening the doors!)


The second change is communication. From now on, the only time you’ll speak directly with Angelique is at drop-off, where you can discuss your dog’s grooming preferences. This allows her to put all her attention into grooming, and gives her the chance to switch off at the end of the day instead of catching up on calls and messages.


We now have an easy online system where you can book, reschedule, or cancel appointments all by yourself (see the FAQ‘s for instructions). You’ll also receive text and email confirmations as well as reminders closer to your appointment.

We hope this helps explain why these changes are needed, and we truly appreciate your understanding and support.
