Frequently Asked Questions

To help us focus on continuing to groom your dogs to the highest standard, and to make room for more clients, we are no longer able to answer calls & texts.

Discussions about the desired groom will happen at the time your dog is dropped off.

For other queries it is best to read through the FAQ's first, or if necessary you can send an email to peninsulapawscontact@gmail.com and we will try to respond when we can.

Unfortunately no, all available dates will be shown to you on the booking calendar. We recommend that you book in advance as wait times can be up to 8 weeks.

Booking an appointment is very easy, just go to BOOK NOW, scroll down to see the calendar and select an available date & time, then fill in the information required. No payments are needed up front!

To reschedule or cancel an existing appointment, locate your booking confirmation email and follow the links at the bottom. Rescheduling will bring up the calendar for you to select the next available date that suits.

Please remember to make any changes to your appointment at least 48 hours prior, as any no shows will be charged a $50 fee to cover the loss of wages.

Unfortunately no, we only do Full Grooms & De-Sheds which both include a warm bath, towel & blow dry, clippered to desired length or de-shedded/hand-stripped, matting removed if needed, feet, face & sanitary areas trimmed, eyes & ears cleaned, nails trimmed if needed, cologne, treats & cuddles!

For nail trims we usually recommend your local vet, and some pet stores also allow walk ins for nail trimming.

This is absolutely okay! We have plenty of experience working with anxious dogs, and always take a calm and gentle approach allowing them to settle in before starting. My focus has always been on cruelty-free stress-free grooming to build trust and make each visit a positive experience.

Yes we absolutely do, with a wide range of experience across almost ANY breed!

Please have a chat about what it is you would like done when dropping them off.

This can vary depending on the dog, but for coats that need clipping it's typically recommended every 8 weeks however some dogs will be fine by being groomed every 12 weeks (every 3 months)

De-sheds can be done less frequently especially if they're regularly brushed at home which is recommended.
